Jen over at What Would Jen Do recently (or not all that recent, but time gets away from me) handed out the Sunshine Award on her blog and included me in the recipient list! Awesome!

I also got the nod for the Versatile Blogger Award from Keiko over at Hannah Wept, Sarah Laughed. Double awesome!

Thank you so much, ladies! What an honor, coming from two amazing bloggers who I look up to.

Since I’m lazy and erratic with my blog list (I seriously have one a mile long that takes me eons to make my rounds through), I’m combining my pay-it-forward. I’ve been an award rule breaker in the past and just can’t fall into step with following the rules (that are always different anyhow).

But since one of the rules includes a “seven things about me” list, I’ll start there and hope following one set of rules will earn me some good juju.

  1. I hate having my feet touched. Want to torture me? Give me a pedicure as a gift. I’ll do it because I’m too nice to say no and save myself from being tortured, but it will make my palms sweat. I am ridiculously ticklish (bonus fact!) and live in fear of kicking the person attacking me right in the teeth.
  2. I don’t like talking on the phone. This is a problem, considering I live far, far away from most family and friends. A double dislike goes to leaving voice mail for people. Awkward!
  3. I know all the words to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire” and Garth Brooks’ “Ain’t Goin’ Down.” I went through a phase in high school where I thought learning to sing along with really fast, wordy songs was SUPER COOL. I still think it is, but I’ve gotten lazy and OK with making up my own sounds and words instead of sitting with a lyrics book and a sore rewind-pushing button.
  4. Speaking of Billy Joel – he’s my favorite, and I’ve seen him in concert three times. Each show was more magical than the last!
  5. I desperately wished my name had been Christy when I was 4. Since I wasn’t allowed to change it, I started calling myself Jenna. I’m pretty sure I only did so in my own room, but I have books with “Jenna” written in them to prove it.
  6. It’s an estimation, but I’m pretty sure 90 percent of my local (or near local) friends were first made on the Internet. God Bless the dubya dubya dubya. It made moving 550 miles away from home so much easier.
  7. I don’t really say dubya. I say “doubleyou.” Or maybe it comes out more like “dubbayou” because I can talk pretty fast.

OK, so that last fact was dumb, but I’m pretty open with you readers here. If you haven’t learned something about me, it’s probably because it’s irrelevant or just obscure.

Onto the pay it forward! In no particular order:

Jamee from A New Kind of Normal; Katherine from A Hokie and a Cav; Krista from Rubber Baby Buckin Bumpers; LCW and JPW of Waking Up Williams; Heather from See Heather Write; Emmie from This is the first day of my life; Lindsey from Bohemian French Country; Emilee of Emilee Beth Photography; The Mrs of The Mrs and The Mister; and Jacki from Lovely Little Shelf.

Bloggers, the rules for the Sunshine Award are to accept the award and pay it forward to 12 deserving blogs. For the Versatile Blogger Award, accept, give seven facts about yourself and name seven blogs you see as winners.

There you go! There are 10 blogs I love and bloggers I admire. Go forth, read and enjoy!
