It’s that time of the month again – pineapple core time, folks. I either finally figured out how to cut the core into five equal(ish) pieces, or I got ridiculously lucky. I’m not sure which. Either way, it’s cut and ready for consumption. Yay Old Wive’s Tales!
One day short of a year ago, my house was packed with squealing fan girls. Our reason for gathering? The release of Twilight on DVD. Oh, yes. We are grown women. That just means our slumber parties come equipped with amazing food and potent beverages. It’s so much more fun to be an adult and act like a silly teen than it was to be a silly teen.
This year, I’m celebrating the release of New Moon with Rob, just the two of us. It’s insanely anticlimactic compared with last year’s grandeur, but c’est la vie.

The bath has bubbles, the bevvy has booze. It’s Friday, yo.
(The drink: Diet Cherry 7Up + pomegranate juice + Captain Morgan Parrot Bay = YUM)
It’s a playlist! It almost matches the one I just added to my own iPod, with the exception of a song or two Playlist.com didn’t have on file at all or an artist I had to sub in for my first choice.
So what’s the inspiration? The anticipated/dreaded two-week wait. I need something to keep me positive and upbeat, and a new playlist sounded like the perfect thing to help me out.
And since I’m a gracious and shameless, I’m presenting it to you. Enjoy my choices or judge them. I’m nowhere near a music snob, but I love what I love without boundaries – hence why Muse and the cast of Glee are hanging out together.
My parents are visiting this week, and with them comes this little, fuzzy ball of love, Mya. Miss Mya’s favorite pastime is attempting murder by suffocation, as she is trying to exhibit here. Too bad I unglued her from my face for a necessary breath when Rob caught the picture. She combines pressing her doggie chest in your face with never-ending kisses. And, damn. It’s too cute to be annoying.
