Last night/this morning ended Daylight Savings Time, so we got to “fall back” and enjoy an extra hour of sleep.

Except you can’t really enjoy an extra hour of sleep if you wake up in the middle of the night, realize you didn’t set your clock back, get up to do so so you’re not late (early?) for church tomorrow, can’t figure out the clock in the dark/sleepiness of being half awake, turn on the TV, wake your mind up to concentrate on this seemingly impossible task, then stay awake trying really hard to fall back asleep for AN HOUR.

Yes, I spent my free extra hour of sleep awake and trying desperately to sleep. Isn’t that soooo awesome?

I’m happy to report a loss for the week! And not JUST for the week (let’s remember last week’s gain), but and actual loss overall!!

The scale read 161.8 this morning, giving me a loss from last week (the gain) of 1.8 pounds and an overall total loss of 2.6 pounds.

I’ll admit I was pleasantly surprised to see the numbers this morning, especially after Halloween and Potato Night.

What I did right this week: Most days were good point days. I drank my required water every day.

What I need to step it up on: Activity, activity, activity. I only walked once last week, and the only other real not-normal activity I got was dancing around the house like a fool yesterday morning while I tidied.

I’m going to try and muster up the courage to attend the Funky Fit class at the gym this week (the gym whose membership I haven’t touched in months but paid for). There’s a Monday class and a Wednesday class, so I have two chances to not be a wuss and just go.

I woke up last night at 2 a.m. because my cell phone was ringing. People just don’t call me that late, so I got up to answer it … you never know what that call could be.

It’s a restricted number.

So I answer, and this guy’s like, Did I wake you up?

I ask who it is.

Him: You don’t know?
Me: No.
Him: You were at work yesterday, right?
Me: Yes. Who is this?
Him: Did I wake you up?
Me: Um, who is this?
Him: Do you want a big surprise?
*** At this point, I jumped into bed, shook Rob awake (poor guy!) and switched my phone to speaker phone ***
Him: Hello?
Me: Who is this?
Him: You don’t know? Did I wake you up?
Me: Who’s calling????

Then he hung up.

And I was wide awake. Thankfully, Tommy Boy was on HBO, and that took my mind off the freaky guy. I fell asleep and no one came to kidnap me.

But OMG!!!

p.s. My ringtone is the Halloween theme. Like, Michael Myers. Yeah, not smart on my part. But I wasn’t thinking of some weird guy waking me up at 2 in the morning.

I ate four smallish (though really not that small, just not big) potatoes tonight. Four. FOUR.

Granted, it took me about three hours of picking at them piece by piece (they were cut into pieces and roasted), but I indeed ate them all.

I’m disgusted by myself.

I have to confess that I only did that one day of C25k. The idea of it sounds good, but I just haven’t gotten around to doing it again.

In my defense, I did say I wasn’t sure if I’d stick to it or not. That makes it less bad, right?
