They know their cues. We say, “It’s nap/bedtime! Let’s walk to bed!” and they’re at the gate to the kitchen, waiting to be set free. Most of the time, they march, one, two, three, directly to their room. Other times, we have to retrieve one or two who have ventured off the beaten path.

Toby and Eleanor race to grab the iPod (my 3rd gen Nano) from the dock, Callista walks right into the (no-door) closet, and everyone needs to check to see if Rocky is snoozing on the closet shelf, “Hiiiii!” says Eleanor.

We return to the proper cribs blankets and soothe-and-glow seahorses that were either swapped between cribs or tossed onto the floor. Then, one by one, we deliver kisses, wishes for good dreams and I Love Yous before depositing three little loves in their beds. The curtains are pulled, the iPod is redocked (our white noise machine), the lights go out, and we part until next time.

So cute! My DD feels the need to squeal every time she sees the cat. And then of course, run to go tackle him.

So adorable. Really though, I am just amazed by your organization.

They force my hand! I swear my former self was a hot mess of disorganization. Rob still claims me a hot mess compared with him!

How do they fall asleep? Are they chatty with each other? What do you do if one needs you and the others are trying to sleep? Or if one protests their nap?!

      1. In their cribs. I think that’s what you’re asking, at least? We don’t rock them. That quit working months and months ago. Oof! 2. YES. Though it’s not each nap/bedtime. They sometimes go right to sleep; they sometimes chatter on for a bit. 3. I just go in and grab the one who needs something. If anyone else fusses, they usually calm down as soon as we leave the room. It’s rare that everyone or even more than one needs to come out. 4. Naptime is naptime for all. There have been rare occasions when one is just in hysterics and will. not. be. peaceful, then they come out to play or whatever. Most of the time, they just “rest” while others nap.

      Is that all? :-)

Wow … that is awesome. Most of the time (with my singles!) when I announce it’s naptime they look at me like I’m speaking a different language. :-) I hope they keep doing this for you for a LONG time!!

Having witnessed this beautiful march in person, it is really amazing and so much fun to watch as they do line up, once when Callista let her displeasure with nap time known to all with ears, Toby quickly retreated back to the kitchen, Ellie pointed forward and announced “No No No”, it was hysterical.
