Someone slow them down
Eight months and three days have gone by since Toby, Eleanor and Callista decided it was time to join the outside world.
Those first few months went by slowly. The thing about preemies is that you go through the slow, not-very-exciting newborn stage for way longer than normal. Once they hit a corrected age of 12 weeks, though, they took off, and they haven’t stopped since.
All three babies love their jumperoos, stuffed animals, blocks, singing songs and reading books with Grandma, being tickled with fingers or kisses, going for car rides and taking baths.
They aren’t big fans of getting dressed and waiting to be fed.
Otherwise, we have a very happy trio!
The girls are doing great at sitting up on their own and can do so for several minutes.

Toby still isn’t terribly interested in sitting up. His head is the biggest still, so I’m blaming his disinterest on being a bit top heavy. He loves to practice standing, though!

Toby and Eleanor are both working on crawling attempts, though only Eleanor regularly attempts to make forward movement. She’s had a taste of independent traveling with her roll-roll-roll routine. She’s definitely the most independent – something that’s an obviously helpful trait when it comes to moving and shaking.
What about Callista? She’s happy to lie where you set her as long as you bring her toys. While you’re at it, feed her that bunch of plump grapes over there, too. Frustration will be her motivating factor. I’m sure of it.
I forgot something, so I’m adding this after publication
See those shirts the girls are wearing in the first photo? Eleanor’s is a newborn-size dress, and Callista’s is a 3-m0-size dress. The nb dress would have fit Callista had the neckline been a bit wider, but it is what it is.
My point? I love using too-short dresses for the girls as cute tunics paired with leggings. Babies grow so fast, so it’s nice to get longer wear out of some of my early favorites.
I think I’m a genius.

Shut the front door. That’s all I got. They’re so big now!! I’m left speechless by their tricks and cuteness.
I can’t believe it’s already been this long. I love how smiley they are, how cute they look.
they just get cuter and cuter.
i just love this age. between 7-11 months, it’s just heaven.
(i mean, um, it’s still fun after that, but there’s something so sweet about the younger months.)
Adorable! And obviously geniuses – all three of them. Wow, I am amazed every time you post by how well they are doing. Seriously, they are phenomenal babies!
I cannot believe how big they are getting! Hope they don’t all start moving on you at once! I could hardly keep us with just Abby when she started becoming mobile! They are just SO freaking cute!
you. must. be. kidding. me. eight months already?! they are getting cuter by the day, though.
They are just so cute, I felt that same way with the twins for so long and then all the sudden they sat up, crawled, cruised and now are 14 months in the blink of an eye.
I thought for sure Toby would be the one to crawl first. Little stinker was just showing off, I guess.
He’s on his knees well, but he keeps just smushing his head into the floor, which usually leads to him licking the floor.
Awesome.
At least it’s clean. Amiright or what? 😉
Holy cow you made some beautiful people! They’re growing so fast!!!
They are adorable! And now, you make me want to run to the bins of clothes Abby supposedly grew out of to see if her dresses could be shorts.
I still do the old dresses as shirts thing with my girls- and they’re 9 and 6
This is such a fun age! They are so very cute.
the dresses as tunics is too cute! Jenny, they are doing awesome. Thanks for sharing all the moments & photos.
Jenny, they are so big! I can’t believe how far they’ve come! Amazing babies
Dresses are great because they can wear them when they are a little too big all the way until they are way too small as shirts. My almost 11 year old has worn the same 4th of July dress for 4 summers in a row. It went from dress to tunic to tank top!
I do the dresses-as-shirts thing too. It really makes you take a trip down memory lane!
