Since Tobias, Eleanor and Callista all needed their bubble CPAPs back on, we’ve had few glimpses of their sweet faces when they aren’t all scrunched and Popeye-looking because of the contraptions.

Bath time is one of the few times they have the CPAP removed for long enough for some admiring and, of course, lots of photos.

Toby’s up first:

(Toby wants one million dollars)

(it’s blurry, but it’s too cute to pass up)

Eleanor had her bath next. In the first photo, you can see how uncomfy they look with the CPAPs. All three, but Eleanor especially, love to hold (or push away) the devices:

(she needed to hold Mommy’s hand because baths are the devil!)

Callista is last in the rotation:

(Callista shakes her fist at bath time)

(caught mid-yawn)

(almost too tired to open her eyes)

(back on CPAP, but too tired to care much)

Toby looks so alert! He’ll be a genius I bet. Just taking everything in.

I love that Eleanor needs her Mom at bathtime. So sweet. Do you ever get a sense of how tenny weeny they are when compared to an adult hand!

And Callista looks how I feel most of the time. Barely able to keep my eyes open. All though she pulls it off in a MUCH cuter way!

I just want to kiss all three of them! Perfection.

  5. Oh, they are so adorable! Love those sweet faces and tiny chicken legs!

I think I fell over dead at Toby’s impression of Dr. Evil. I’m in love with him. Toby, I mean, not Dr. Evil. Though I do think Mike Meyers is comedic genius. I digress. Love seeing pictures of the babes – they are so precious!!!!

  25. Reading your post brings me right back to the days when my son was in the NICU. Those days were insane and intense. My most memorable moment being when I first saw him after his life flight and his heart stopped and a lung collapsed and the next thing I see are a swarm of doctors around him and nurse above me because I passed the F*** out when I saw that flat line. A mere two weeks later we went home and he is now an amazing beautiful 8 year old boy! Roller coaster is an understatement and I wish you and the babes the best in health in these important days ahead. All my love

  26. Courtney L. says:

Such adorable and precious pictures! We still have some of our NICU pictures hanging on our refrigerator. Sometimes you just need to look at where you were to see where you are now. They are always good reminders.
