On top of the rain, which turned to slush, which turned to ice, we also got 4 inches of snow overnight. In an area with poor snow-removal resources, this is a big deal. Thankfully, I don’t have much to worry about at work right now, so I opted to stay at home and avoid the fools out there who think they can drive in this weather.
I’m lusting after a DSLR – not one in particular, but just one in general. I want a pretty, fancy new camera. Except I’ve been slack at taking photos with my easy, portable point-and-shoot.
It just doesn’t make much sense to shell out the cheese for a new camera when the one I have is feeling lonely and neglected.
So. The new goal is to take more photos. Of something. Of anything. If only I had it with me. Before I can start working on the goal, I guess I should start carrying it again.
Celebrities are so thin and work so hard to stay that thin because seeing your ass in all its glory on TV is the greatest eat-better-and-work-out-more motivator there is.
Just saying.
The beauty of my funky moods is that they never last very long. I have a lasagna in the oven, I’m getting ready to curl up with “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” (for reread #whoknowswhat), and life is good.
I wish I could be more normal. I wish I didn’t feel like I was living on borrowed time. I wish I looked at my life like I surely have years and years and years to accomplish things and enjoy them. I wish feeling like life is too short meant I always go for exactly what I what, not that I want to hold back because I don’t want to get exactly what I want only to leave it behind. Or that I want to hold back because I’m afraid that having what I want means the good life can’t possibly last that much longer.
It’s fucked up.
