This is my life
The lighting didn’t agree with me and the babies had no interest in anything but their own agendas.
But they’re cute. And I love them more than you’ll ever know.
And they finally fit into the onesies stitched for them by the wonderfully talented Katherine.

Time hasn’t been my friend this week – free time, at least. I have much to share, much to tell and much to ask. The babies had their first encounter with the duck tub this week, and I vowed bending over a tub (whether you’re sitting or standing) is for the birds. I’d rather be in the tub with them. Or, you know, hosing them down in the back yard.
NOT THAT I’D REALLY DO THAT. (OK, I may consider it.)
On top of our normal daily business has been a new time suck for the week – preparing for our first roadtrip as a family of five. Oof! We’re packing for a whirlwind trip to NE Ohio, where Rob and I were born and raised and where much of our family still lives. It’ll be quick and we hope it’s painless, but more importantly, we hope it’s fun.
See you next week!

Have a great trip!!! I really want to go to Ohio for Thanksgiving but it is still a question mark at this point.
*squeezes babies*
You are two extremely brave souls for traveling (and that far! my god!) with 9 month old triplets. I hope the babies are little angels for you and all 5 of you return home relatively unscathed.
Have a safe & fun trip!
Whoa! They’re adorable!
Bending over is for suckers… that’s why Oliver still gets bathed in the kitchen sink – at 21 months.
(also: yay NE Ohio – I’d offer to come help hold a baby or two while you’re here… but we don’t really know each other that well.)
😀
SO cute. Have a great trip!!
Those are some happy babies. You and Rob are doing things right. I sure hope I get to see those babies while you are home.
They are adorable! Have fun on your trip!
Where at in NE Ohio? I’m outside of Akron, born and raised. I have a feeling I’m never leaving at this point!
Aawwww. I remember when you got the third Ninja baby onesie. Have a great time in Ohio–the heart of it all. The Birthplace of Aviation.
I need to come visit soon and get spit up on by the babies!
have fun! my dad is from NW ohio.
Sink baths rule! And good lighting or bad, that is a fantastic picture!! <3
You might not want to let that hose idea get too far from your mind. Someday when they’re about 4-5 and covered in mud in the backyard you might just have to pull that one out!
Good luck on the road trip!
have an awesome trip, jen! you & Rob deserve to show off those adorb kids of yours.
We use the duck tub on the kitchen counter by the sink. Much much easier than in the tub.
Have a safe trip! We keep a yoga ball next to our tub to sit on during bath time…it helps a bit.
I have, on occasion, tossed all three of our older kids into the corner jacuzzi and blasted the bubbles…and called it clean enough.
And just last summer when our grinder pump (sort of like a glorified septic tank) went out I bathed the children in our inflatable pool in the backyard. Why, yes, I am a hick. Why do you ask?
The two tricks I learned for tub baths: Use something heavily padded for your knees (like a many-folded towel) and tighten your core muscles (which will alleviate back strain).
Good luck on your road trip!
Love those onesies! Good luck with the packing & preparing for the trip.
Those kids just get cuter and cuter. And of course, good luck on the trip momma! You’ve got this.
Have a great trip! this pic of the babes is too cute & their faces always make me smile
